Where a brand, created from the ground up, comes into its own.
Bonnie is a mother of two children and has grown her business alongside being a mum. She started Studio Adorn from her kitchen table and has since created a business that employs three other creatives and stocks her jewellery in shops around the world. Her work is as beautiful as it's thoughtful. By making each piece to order they only ever produce what they need and use only recycled and recyclable products in their packaging.
She designed the original brand identity herself and was looking for a rebrand to reflect how her business has evolved. We wanted to create something that captured the playful and organic nature of her work as well as the understated elegance of her brand.
Taking inspiration from Bonnie’s workplace, we created an identity that is playful, tactile yet refined.
Bonnie’s studio is organic. Her intuitive approach to working with metals and layering her creations was captivating. I captured this in her organic serif logomark and a playful brand pattern. The texture is inspired by a soft pencil stroke, conveying a natural finish — a nod to the design process of sketching and iterating before landing on the final vision.
The original colour palette was adapted to create a more earthy feel that complements the warmth of the art direction and brand photography.
